Today I’m going to take the opportunity to do a little shameless plugging. Next month, I’m running my first public puzzle/treasure hunt for Ravenchase Adventures! I’ll be running the event on Saturday, July 21 in beautiful downtown Charlottesville, VA. It should be a good time, so spread the word and come out and play if you’re in the area!
When: Saturday, July 21st at 4:00pm
Where: Charlottesville, VA, downtown
Price: $25 per player
What: Thomas Jefferson is best remembered as America’s third President, but he was also quite the inventor. Jefferson developed many clever gadgets in his lifetime, but one of his inventions was lost to the ages somewhere in Charlottesville! Follow Jefferson’s notes and be the first team to discover Jefferson’s lost invention. Uncover clues, crack codes, and use clever gadgets as you explore the historic Downtown Mall and surrounding area in this exciting treasure hunt.
You can find registration for my event here. Hope to see some of you there!

Virginia. July. 4 in the afternoon.
I’m not completely sure these three things go together …
Hey, it could’ve been 1:00. AM I NOT MERCIFUL?!
=)
Yay!
Looks awesome! Wish I could come play!
Charlottesville is a bit of a pull, but it’s not awful. It would be three weekends in a row on a trip; don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing. (Probably: good.)
So: if I were to wander up, what chances of playing solo? Can I sign up as a free agent?
(Or I suppose if you need a playtester….)
I’ll let you know if needed, but I do have some internal playtesting resources (woo!)
I would say your experience and 6-day BLG lead on the designer herself certainly qualifies you to play solo =) I don’t plan on making any puzzles that would require multiple players.
How far in advance do we have to sign up? What that Saturday is going to look like will depend highly on how the Friday goes….
I believe registration will be open up until the day before the event, I’ll try to find out for sure though!
